Come meet Female’s 50 Gorgeous People at our Preview
Singapore, 19 October, 2011 – SPH Magazines’ Female will be unveiling its 50 Gorgeous People finalists in a Preview event at Central Fountain, Clarke Quay, at 7pm on 21 October.
The Preview will see contestants take to the catwalk for a fashion parade, after which “live” voting will commence. The public can vote electronically on-the-spot for their favourite contestants via Samsung Galaxy Tablets provided at the venue.
Voting continues online at www.Female50Gp.com until 30 November. The 50 finalists will also be blogging on the website to share their experiences and rally for more votes. The top 10 finalists will be determined from the voting results, and the final male and female winners will be chosen from these 10 by the panel of judges (comprising sponsors and editors).
Now into its 15th year, the contest drew crowds at its preliminary street searches held in July at Tanjong Beach Club and Clarke Quay. Entries were also received online at www.Female50Gp.com from aspiring candidates. From over 400 entries received, 25 male and 25 female finalists were selected. They will also be featured in a mega fashion spread in the November issue of Female.
The finals will be held on 1 December at Chijmes Hall from 8pm, where the Most Gorgeous Male and Most Gorgeous Female will be crowned. The winners stand to win exciting prizes from fashion vouchers to beauty products.
50 Gorgeous People has been a signature event of Female since 1997. Held annually, the competition involves a search for men and women with the star quality that best represents Female, the leading fashion and beauty magazine in Singapore. Not just selected for their good looks, the contestants must also possess a winning personality and the elusive X-factor. Past winners have gone on to bigger things, including Annabel Tan, a runner-up in last year’s Miss Singapore Universe and Adrian Jalaludin, actor and TV presenter.
