Her World Beauty Awards celebrates its 16th anniversary this year with 168 winners in skincare and makeup. Nearly 500 products were evaluated across 79 categories according to how they best targeted the concerns and met the needs of customers.
Started in 2001, the Her World Beauty Awards – the first of its kind by a magazine in Singapore – honours exceptional products in the beauty industry that have demonstrated noteworthy efficacy and value.
The definitive award marks Her World magazine as the authority in beauty, with its authentic and unbiased methods of testing each product to come up with a list of credible winners that readers can trust. This year’s edition evaluated products that were launched between October 2015 and September 2016.
The Her World Beauty Awards 2017 focused on trend-led categories, such as skincare with hybrid textures, multi-purpose oils, anti-pollution sunscreens, the comeback of micellar water, and more.
Over 1,200 online votes were received from readers to determine the Readers’ Choice winners. Her World’s panel of judges, comprising editors, beauty writers, leading makeup experts, and doctors, were tasked with assessing the Editors’ Choice awards.
In addition to Readers’ Choice and Editors’ Choice awards, this is the fourth year that the Her World Beauty Awards has included Bloggers’ Choice awards.
Readers can also look forward to a Special Mention category lauding the beauty gadgets and tools that have become increasingly common in a woman’s beauty routine. While not part of the awards competition, they were highlighted for changing the way women think about skincare and putting the means to brighter, clearer skin in their hands.
