Whitegrass is Restaurant of the Year at G Restaurant Awards 2017

Singapore, 20 June 2017 – The Peak Selections: Gourmet & Travel, a publication of The Peak by SPH Magazines Pte Ltd (SPH Magazines), is proud to announce its highly anticipated G Restaurant Awards 2017, presented by OCBC Voyage.
Into its eighth year, the annual awards recognises the best of the best dining experiences delivered by restaurants. A total of 52 honours was handed out at the awards ceremony held this evening at the Sheraton Towers Ballroom.
Whitegrass received top honour and was crowned Restaurant of the Year 2017 for its unique modern Australian cuisine woven with Asian ingredients. Other category winners include Restaurant Andre for Best Dinner Experience (Western) and Hashida Sushi (Asian); Best Business Lunch went to Otto Ristorante (Western) andKi-Sho (Asian). Best New Restaurant was awarded to The Dempsey Cookhouse & Bar (Western) and Violet Oon Satay Bar & Grill (Asian). Colony at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, received the award for Best Champagne Brunch. A total of 11 restaurants appeared on the list for the first time.
New this year is The G Hallmark of Excellence awarded to Les Amis, a stalwart that has been consistently meeting stellar standards since the awards was launched in 2010.
Gourmet & Travel collaborated with veteran food critics Wong Ah Yoke of The Straits Times and Jaime Ee of The Business Times for a shortlist of top restaurants in respective categories. Over the course of six months, our editors and writers accompanied ambassadors, businesses’ head honchos such as Leslie Yeo, Michael Tay and Kathryn Yap, as well as wine experts Edwin Soon, Sandy Chng and Nicola Lee for incognito tastings at the nominated restaurants for final selection.
