ICON, the leading Chinese luxury lifestyle magazine published by SPH Magazines, celebrates its 14th year with a revamped April 2019 issue.
The magazine now sports a fresh new look – from a new ICON masthead to a sleek, modern aesthetic, tied together with restructured editorial content.
The revamp took into consideration feedback from ICON’s high-net-worth readership as the team strives continually to improve reader experiences.
Favourite mainstays in the magazine such as “ICON Interview” were retained, featuring highly influential women corporate leaders who are at the top of their game, as well as “Next Gen to Watch”, which spotlights successful and high-achieving young personalities.
At the same time, new columns were introduced to feature even more insider stories. “My Life”, for example, reports on readers’ exclusive experiences at front row seats of fashion shows and launch events around the world.
On monthly covers, ICON continues its signature and stellar coverage of Asia’s top celebrities with exclusive one-on-one interviews and photography. Celebrities such as Lin Chi-ling, Rainie Yang and Grace Chan have graced the covers of ICON magazine.
In the April 2019 issue, Taiwanese celebrity and actress Annie Chen headlines the cover. Also in the April edition, ICON’s special annual feature – ICON List – has the stories of top Tastemakers of 2019 who are pushing boundaries and shaping lifestyle choices. Pauline Ng, for example, uses artificial intelligence to enhance customer experiences in her company, Porcelain Origins.
ICON BALL 2019 Theme: Resplendent in Glitter
The new-look April 2019 issue will be unveiled at ICON’s annual grand and glitzy ball, one of the most anticipated events on Singapore’s social calendar. Over 300 guests comprising Singapore’s most influential, powerful and the who’s who of high society are expected to attend this high-profile and prestigious by-invitation-only event on Thursday, 11 April at Shangri-La Hotel,Singapore.
ICON Ball’s theme, “Resplendent in Glitter”, will see invited guests dress to theme, setting the stage for a stunning showcase of some of the most beautiful evening gowns ever seen this year.
The highlight of the night will see 20 ladies crowned the much-sought-after title of ICON’s Best Dressed 2019. Three “Best Dressed Gentlemen” will also be named.
ICON Ball 2019 is supported by Aston Martin, Bvlgari, ION Orchard, Jimmy Choo, Martell and MTM Skincare.
